EuroVR & Special Interest Groups

EuroVR is a non-profit association for the promotion of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality gathering Organizations, Industrials, Research Institutes, Academics, SMEs, and other contractors, working for a common cause towards a common target. This association is the offspring of the late INTUITION, a Network of Excellence (NoE) of the 6th Framework Programme (FP6) of the European Commission in Information Society Technologies (IST).

One of the objectives of EuroVR is to foster a continuation of the activities of the former Working Groups of INTUITION, with some evolutions. This will be implemented within Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of EuroVR. SIGs will be groups of experts, with critical mass, covering all the V&AR fields.

The main goals of SIGs are:

• Increase the Scientific & Technological excellence of Europe in V&AR
• Produce up-to-date analysis of user needs in V&AR applications
• Develop synergies between European actors in the V&AR domain
• Multiply the opportunities (business, new EC projects…)
